Melton Mowbray Town Estate appoints new technical manager

Melton Mowbray Town Estate (MMTE) has appointed Mark Vardy as its new technical manager.

Mark will be responsible for the maintenance, upkeep and improvement of the Town Estate’s holdings, including its parks, sporting facilities and leased properties.

This appointment is a promotion for Mark, who began working for MMTE in 1994, and has over 20 years’ experience of grounds maintenance across all of the estate’s properties.

Dean Rees, CEO, MMTE, said, “With his long track record working on the estate, Mark embodies a colossal amount of knowledge and experience about the estate’s market, parks, grounds and sports facilities. This experience will be vital to his new position as technical manager, where his responsibilities will include overseeing the entire annual programme of works. Mark will take responsibility for the strategic and day-to-day aspects of managing Melton Mowbray Town Estate’s gardens, parks and sports facilities for the benefit of the whole town.”
