The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued yellow weather alerts for most of England, with Melton Mowbray expected to hit up to 31° on5.

In these weather conditions, UKHSA has warned that people with pre-existing health conditions and those aged over 65 could be at higher health risks. Alongside the high temperatures, the public has been warned of high UV and pollen levels throughout the weekend.

Melton Popfest is set to take place as scheduled; however, attendees are advised to,

  • Bring bottled water to the event and stay hydrated throughout the day.
  • Wear light clothing to the event.
  • Wear hats and sunscreen throughout the day (especially young children).
  • Take breaks from the sun and find some shade.
  • Encourage children to take care when running around the park.
  • If you feel dizzy or unwell, tell a member of staff. Medical staff will be on hand to help.

Please note: The Melton Mowbray Town Estate will provide free bottled water to attendees throughout the event.

Currently, the Town Estate does not plan to cancel Melton Popfest 2025; however, we will continue to monitor and assess the situation to act in the best interest of attendee safety.
