Temporary closures for Melton Popfest

Melton Popfest 2025 is just around the corner, and to ensure public safety, several footpaths will be closed during the event. Additionally, several roadworks throughout Melton Mowbray, while not related to the Melton Mowbray Town Estate, may affect your experience.

To keep things running as smoothly as possible, here’s all you need to know about the event, the closures and how it may affect you:

When and where?

Closure period: 21st June, 2025 – 22nd June, 2025.
Start time: 8:00 am
Where: Play Close Park, Melton Mowbray.

Which footpaths will be affected?

Red lines indicate the event border.
Green lines indicate public footpaths affected by closures.
Blue lines indicate diversions from roadworks unrelated to the event.

The paths directly affected by the closures are:

Footpath from Church Walk to Play Close, for its entire length.
Footpath E24, for its entire length.
Footpath E13, from B6047 to Leicester Road.

When will the footpaths re-open?

The footpath closures will be lifted on 22nd June, 2025 at 2:00 am. However, please note that Play Close Park’s opening hours are between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm.

5.30 pm – 6.30 pm – Ed Sheeran Tribute
6.30 pm – 7.00 pm – DJ Scott Lyons
7.30 pm – Event ends
