Dick & Dom are coming to Melton Mowbray for our Big Christmas Party!
We are thrilled to invite you all to kick off the festive season with us in the heart of town. On Friday 27 November, our Market Place will host Melton Mowbray’s Big Christmas Party, immediately following the official Christmas lights switch-on.
The celebrations begin at 6:00pm with live music from the Melton Rock Choir, followed by a special appearance from Santa at 6:40pm as the town lights up. At 7:00pm, television favourites Dick & Dom take to the stage to headline an hour of high-energy music, fun, and games for the whole family.
The party marks the opening night of our annual three-day Christmas Market, running throughout the weekend:
- Friday 27 November: 11:00am to 8:00pm
- Saturday 28 November: 10:00am to 5:00pm
- Sunday 29 November: 10:00am to 4:00pm
Melton Borough Council, the Melton BID, and Melton Mowbray Town Estate have teamed up to bring residents, visitors, and local businesses together for a truly memorable start to Christmas. Alongside dozens of artisan stalls, hot food, and independent local traders across the town centre, you will find a traditional funfair on Burton Street, the Leicester City FC interactive roadshow, Santa’s Grotto in the Bell Centre, and guided heritage tours with HistoryFare.
Free Friday Parking
To help make your visit as easy as possible, free parking will be available on four consecutive Fridays (27 November, 4 December, 11 December, and 18 December) across three long-stay car parks: Burton Road, Scalford Road, and Mill Street.
