Revised schedule for Events Village

We have revised the schedule of events for the Events Village to reflect event popularity and recent circumstances.

Melton Mowbray Town Estate CEO, Dean Rees, stated, “We ran the first few events and have had some teething issues and incidents as you have when launching an ambitious event calendar. But, we have worked through the problems and taken stock of which events people want to come along to and those we can deliver without having to charge, and from this, we have sharpened our focus; there will be fewer music events, more cinema – including films for children, and football if England progresses. Unfortunately, we will not be showing the game today, Wednesday, July 1st.”

“To keep all of this running, we will have a new generator delivered that can power the Events Village, removing the temptation from anyone who may wish to spoil the fun. With Melton Ska Fest just around the corner, we are looking forward to enjoying the rest of the summer season. Keep an eye on the website and Facebook page as we update our calendar,” added Rees.
